Most of these companies in the right hand column
are American auto rental firms with locations in one or more
European countries. The companies renting exotic cars are primarily European.
Before you decide to rent a car in Europe read my four part chapter 18 starting
at European Auto Rental. There are
important rules of the road in Europe that are not the same as those in the USA. This chapter
may save your life and/or a big chunk of your bank account. The chapter is fully illustrated, including
images and translations of the iconic European Union road signs.

Renting in Europe is also different. There are minimum and maximum ages.
An International Driving Permit, IDP, is advisable everywhere and is required in some countries. Cars
cannot be driven into all countries so check with the agency before driving across any border.
Insurance is mandatory and the insurance provided by your credit card is not accepted or valid in
some countries.
Unusual safety gear is required in just about every country, and really unusual gear is stipulated in some countries. Child seats are mandatory, and are just good common sense.
Most cars have a standard transmission. Learn to clutch or be prepared to pay extra for an automatic. Air conditioning is a premium also. Make sure the car has a cigarette lighter so you can plug in your USB chargers.
Another premium is a GPS device, however these things are not foolproof. Good local maps are essential and something you should have bought and studied long before flying to Europe.
Car burglary and vandalism are common throughout Europe. Never leave anything of value in the vehicle, whether in view or not. The bad guys instantly identify rental cars and know from experience that these are high profit targets.
If you would like to suggest a site for any page of the Travelers Yellow PagesTM fill in the form below and I'll check it out. Cross linking helps us both in search engine rankings, or so some people think. To be considered, your site or page must be of significant interest to Europe bound travelers.
There is no cost for your listing. Put the site title, as you would like it to appear, in line 1. Please keep it brief in keeping with the other titles in this directory. The description normally comes straight from your web site meta tag. Please make it simple, gramatically correct, non-promotional, and an accurate description of your site, product, or service.
In line 3 include the URL of the page on your site which links to www.enjoy-europe.com.
